Barnard Mill and Art Museum
This museum is housed in one of the first structures built in the city. It houses art museums featuring oils, bronzes and primitive artifacts. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Located on the Southwest Barnard Street. Open 10am - 5pm and Sunday 1 - 5pm. Call 254-897-2611 for more information.

Comanche Peak Information Center
Visitors can take tours of the nuclear power plant. View the exhibit of the control room simulator, film and a tick-tack-toe quiz. Located on FM 56 North. Open Monday - Saturday 9am - 4pm.

Creation Evidences Museum
This museum includes artifacts and fossil displays. Open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm. The last tour begins at 3pm. Located approximately four miles west via US 67 on FM 205. Open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm. Call 254-897-3200 for more information.

Dinosaur Valley State Park
This unique and picturesque park is located on a scenic area of the Paluxy River and contains the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in Texas. It was here that the first sauropod tracks in the world were discovered. Two other types of tracks can also be found here, those of the duckbilled dinosaurs and the theropods. Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
This wildlife center features some of the world's most endangered animals like the white rhino, the cheetah and Grevy's zebra. Also includes some 60 species that roam on 2,700 acres of unspoiled countryside. Other activities include petting pasture, Nature Store, picnic area, nature trail and learning center. Open daily. Pat Cleburne Lake
This 1,550 acre-lake is owned by the city of Cleburne. Locally popular for water sports including fishing, swimming, skiing, power boating and sailing. Several lakeside service facilities are available for boatmen and anglers.

Somervell County Historical Museum
This museum features items depicting local history and includes various fossils and relics. Open June - Labor day Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 1-5pm. From Labor Day - May open Saturday 10 am - 5pm and Sunday 1 - 5pm. Located on Elm and Vernon Streets.

Squaw Creek Lake
Located just 4 miles north of Glen Rose this 3,228 acre lake is unusually deep and clear with a rocky shoreline. Excellent for fishing for spotted, small mouth and hybrid striped bass and walleye and native game fish. Fee is charged to access.
