Fulton Mansion State Historic Site
Fulton Mansion State Historic Site is 3.5 mi. n. on Fulton Beach Rd. at Henderson St. This restored 1877 house was built in the French Second Empire style. Lake Casa Blanca International State Park
Lake Casa Blanca International State Park consisting of 371 land acres and 1650 lake surface acres, is located on Lake Casa Blanca, east of Laredo in Webb County. Wildlife species which have been noted in the park include jackrabbit, ground squirrel, cottontail, deer, and javelina. Republic of the Rio Grande Museum

Texas State Aquarium
Texas State Aquarium, 2710 N. Shoreline Blvd. on Corpus Christi Beach, displays thousands of animals representing over 250 species. Visitors to the aquarium enter under a waterfall representing a full submersion into the Gulf of Mexico. Dolphin Bay offers views of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins from above the water and in an underwater viewing room. The Islands of Steel habitat, a replica of an offshore oil platform, features a 132,000-gallon tank with marine animals including sharks, sea turtles and fish. Exotic birds, poison-dart frogs, freshwater stingrays and boa constrictors live in the Amazon exhibit. Guides answer questions about the animals and the aquarium's programs.
